Mt. Hood Territory is the DMO for one of Oregon’s most spectacular outdoor playgrounds. They promote a region where you can carve fresh powder in the morning and chase waterfalls through forests by afternoon. With everything from cozy mountain towns to epic alpine adventures, this destination has it all.
The challenge
This location sits just an hour from Portland, surrounded by stunning wilderness. Still, they faced a challenge every destination knows well. In a world where every mountain town claimed to be the “ultimate outdoor paradise”, how did you cut through the noise? They needed a plan that converted casual browsers into visitors who packed their bags and hit the road.
The strategy
This adventure-themed campaign proved the power of a strategic partnership. Supporting local exploration with colorful, informative and inclusive creative messaging, we deliver results that showed immediate impact and long-term brand support.
Our team developed an approach that showcased the natural beauty and adventure opportunities of Mt. Hood Territory. We combined alluring visual content with custom targeting across display advertising, social media and sponsored content. The goal was to turn inspiration into action by reaching outdoor enthusiasts where they spent their time and presenting options for the authentic adventure they’d been seeking.
In less than 2 months, this strategy generated thousands of new users and hundred of booking clicks.
The results
Driving 2,128 total conversions, 726 booking bar clicks and 11,654 new site users, each channel did its part. Performance Display exceeded expectations with an impressive 9.56% conversion rate, proving the power of strategic targeting. The sponsored content and co-branded social posts achieved a combined reach of 20,907. Our social display also saw 1,276 clicks from people prompted by our “plan your trip” button.
The results rippled across all channels. Organic search grew, fueled by strategic content that elevated the entire brand experience. In just 6 weeks, this long-term partnership showcased what’s possible when a solid foundation supports rapid, targeted execution.
