Birmingham-based Alabama Media Group is a finalist for several national and global awards highlighting exceptional journalism, thought-leadership and industry best practices. Award categories include:
2017 INMA Global Media Awards
- Best Use of Video, Regional/Local Brands, – Reckon by AL.com’s Alabama Senate Editorial Campaign
- Best Launch of a Brand or Product to Create An Audience Segment, Regional/Local Brands, “This is Alabama”
- Best Use of Social Media, Regional/Local Brands, “It’s a Southern Thing”
The International News Media Association (INMA) announced the shortlist of finalists for their international competition, the Global Media Awards, rewarding audience, revenue and brand development amongst news media companies. The announcement includes 195 finalists in 20 categories and two groups for global/national brands and regional/local brands. More than 830 entries were submitted.
Winners will be announced at the Global Media Awards Ceremony Monday, on June 4, at the Mead Center for American Theater in Washington, D.C. The awards ceremony will be held in conjunction with the 88th Annual INMA World Congress of News Media.
The International News Media Association (INMA) is a membership organization comprised of leaders from the world’s leading media companies.
