Team Spotlight: Becca
Next up on our team spotlight series: Account Executive Becca Meyers.
Becca has been with us since 2021 covering the Virginia and West Virginia regions. Becca is more than familiar with the travel industry as her family owns and operates Luray Caverns in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Becca grew up attending tourism conferences and events with her mom where she got the bug to continue to craft her career in the industry. Becca worked as a tour guide at the Caverns for many years as well as in the marketing department.
After attending college at Virginia Tech, Becca went to Washington D.C. to work in the hotel/lodging portion of the industry for Hyatt Hotels. For the past 20 years, she has worked on behalf of the Virginia Tourism official programs in advertising and marketing until she came to Advance Travel and Tourism.
Her favorite thing about working in tourism digital marketing? Being able to offer tangible, actionable insights, data and campaign performance that her clients can put to use to help better their destinations and communities. “It feels very empowering to be able to help these communities in that way and to arm them with information that can make a real impact for them.”
Becca’s favorite place to visit is anywhere with a beach or mountains. She is always up for an adventure or trip anywhere – from visiting her family in coastal France to the wild mountains of Montana.
“I’ve been so happy to join the Advance Travel and Tourism team. I feel like I have found such a supportive, highly intelligent and customer service driven work culture where I can learn, grow, and thrive! I have learned so much the past year, which was a big personal growth goal for me and I appreciate the support and opportunity to spread my wings and grow in this field and in this industry. I am very passionate about travel and tourism and am so happy that I am able to offer tourism organizations successful digital marketing strategies and solutions to better their communities and destinations in such a positive way. That feels amazing and is so meaningful to me. ” -Becca Meyers
