Our client Toledo Bend Lake Country wanted to capitalize on the huge amount of visitors flocking to New Orleans for the Super Bowl in February 2025. We worked with them to land on a campaign to capture devices that were in New Orleans in the days leading up to the Super Bowl and then serve ads for Toledo Bend Lake Country to captured devices within certain geographic areas. This strategy allowed us to make the most of the huge event happening in Louisiana while also being selective with the devices we retargeted, helping to keep the campaign budgets reasonable. 

The challenge

The primary goal of this campaign was to increase awareness of Toledo Bend Lake Country as a travel destination by capitalizing on the high-traffic Super Bowl event that occurred in the city of New Orleans and retargeting ads after they had left the city.

The strategy

Our approach maximized reach and engagement across selected channel while building on proven tactics. The 4-week campaign focused on strategic geo-retargeting. This allowed us to connect with the client’s audience who was in-market at the time.

The campaign was successful in achieving its objectives. Key results include: 

  • A total of 168,335 impressions 
  • 2,108 clicks 
  • 1.25% CTR 
  • Month over month, there was a 171% increase in traffic from this area going from 301 active to 816 active users in the preceding period
