The Challenge

Central Oregon Visitors Association (COVA) revels in all the adventures that attract people to the region. Some visitors are lured by outdoor activities like golfing, fishing, rock climbing and hiking. Others enjoy shopping, brewery tours, museums, art galleries and other cultural experiences of the high desert.

The Goal

COVA was looking to use digital media to bring new website traffic from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle and Portland. We brought our content expertise and national reach to deliver.

The Strategy

We launched two campaigns: one directed at golf and the other geared toward adventureseekers. Each campaign had five sponsor content articles, along with high-impact digital ads, and audience targeting with locationbased mobile ads in COVA’s target markets. In one campaign, we placed ads on mobile devices around golf courses in the cities COVA was targeting. While the campaigns were running, we optimized toward the highest-performing campaigns to improve results in real time

Results

COVA saw the following ROI:

  • Nearly 6,000 leads
  • More than 4 million multichannel impressions, resulting in more than 50,000 clicks,
  • and a 0.90% CTR from sponsor content
